How to get an iPhone 3GS for cheap ($175 off) with Microsoft Bing’s Cash Back (via Alex King)
Random bits of everything.
Today in my Risk Management and Policy class (PAM 4230), we were watching some video clips as case studies about how corporations handle litigation in terms of managing risk. The first video clip was from a Frontline documentary about Dow Corning’s breast implants. The early implants leaked silicone and result in adverse health effects for many women. The video itself wasn’t particularly graphic (though they did show some surgery scenes), nor was the topic itself extraordinarily gross. I found myself however, extremely uneasy as the video progressed, unable to sit still.
Eventually, I started to get a tingling sensation throughout my arms and shoulders. Breathing suddenly became a laborious task. The longer I sat there listening to and watching the film, the greater discomfort I experienced. Unsure of what to do, I tried to distract myself with the crossword puzzle to no avail. The darkened classroom made the small print impossible to read. A sensation of heat replaced the initial tingling as my vision blurred and narrowed. Continue reading ‘Blacked out in class’
It’s no mystery that the copious work bestowed upon us by our respective schools usually ends up pretty low on our day to-do hierarchy. However, it seems that my latest bout of laziness has not only dampened productivity, but also time spent on things I created for the purpose of being a distracting outlet. Through this blog’s many iterations, migrations and redesigns, one thing remains the same: my inability to come up with something to write about on a consistent basis.
If anything, I’ve learned that most of us have an incredible capacity to waste time, and complain later about how busy we are. Funny how that works out huh? Anyways, now that classes have ended in preparation for finals, you’ll probably catch more of my ramblings. If I’m feeling ambitious, I might even post again once I finally get to shower (the water heater just has to break on a night when it’s 27 degrees outside).
Cheers.
Just finished upgrading WordPress to version 2.5. Probably won’t be too much of a difference around here but I thought I’d mention it. Anyone who is planning on doing any sort of blogging or setting up a website, I strongly recommend checking out WordPress as a platform to build upon. I can’t say enough good things about it, and neither can anyone else.
On an unrelated note, what’s with all the snow lately? It’s supposed to be spring.
I’m back after a (really long) hiatus thanks to Christine. I think there’s so much to be said I can’t do it all now. So be on the lookout for some posts in the near future. In the meantime, I’ve updated various bits of the site so have a look around at the photos and such.
TTFN,
Brian
Here is the third and final installment of the controversial “Pedo-Files.” Moral of this story: don’t attempt to disprove any stereotype especially when you epitomize said stereotype. Continue reading ‘The Pedo-Files Episode III’
