Surely most of you know and probably already use Firefox as your browser by now (for those who don’t know what it is, seriously…get with the times). While Firefox is undoubtedly an excellent piece of software, it has it issues. As you may or may not know, Firefox 3 is due out soon and boasts a number of advantages over the current version; namely a fix in system memory usage. The new version also packs a few new features including a more intuitive address bar and a visual refresh to match whatever operating system you use. In light of of this awesome browser becoming awesome-er, the Mozilla Foundation (the folks behind Firefox) has its sights set on attaining a world record for the most downloaded software in one day. Make sure you get in on the Firefox Download Day; you’ll get to be part of a world record and get a kick ass browser out of it too! Click the cool banner for more details from Mozilla.

Remember that time I qualified for IC4A’s but couldn’t go because it was a relay? Oh and that time I anchored a 4×400 for 3 distance guys… Continue reading ‘More videos of me running’
Unfortunately for me, dirty looks from teachers is my major. I made I made it though a tough year characterized by many many oopsidesnts I attribute to a severe case of fresmanitis. While track wasn’t the greatest either, it showed signs of promise. I tried telling myself that after first semester, but I’m still waiting for it to happen. Anyways to put things in perspective (for myself at least) The average student at Northwestern University as more tests in one day than I do all year at Cornell. Throw in the fact that NU has a whole extra month (or two) of school compared to well, just about everyone. That’s a lot of tests; you do the math.
A few things to note before I go:
- Moving out is infinitely more painful than moving in
- Especially when your parents don’t come to pick you up
- Especially when you pack like a girl who overpacks
- Especially when you’re only allowed one checked bag on an airplane and have to take the train with 5
That is all. Congrats to the DCDS track team on their Regionals win. Now back to being bored.
After seeing Iron Man last night, I found myself pondering the classic DC vs. Marvel discussion. All in all, the movie was awesome, easily the best of the Marvel super-hero movies. Make sure to stay for the scene after the credits. Anyways, a Mac/PC-esque clip of Batman and Iron Man pretty much sums up the whole DC/Marvel thing. Kind of.
Oh, happy Cinco de Mayo too I guess.
Update: Another take on Iron Man vs. Batman
Life has been pretty busy since spring break ended. I haven’t really had time to post lately but that doesn’t mean nothing has been going on.
- Today marked the last official day of classes. However, the annual Slope Day festivities were cut short for me due to the track meet tomorrow, and at least partially to the cold rain. I’m at least a little bit bummed out about that.
- School is tough. So is track. Both of them together? I don’t know how I manage (if you can call it that).
- I still don’t know how I am getting home. The longer I wait the more of a problem this will be come. Lacking transportation home has been a reoccurring theme this year.
- CollegeHumor original videos are absolutely great.
- I have 8 months until I start competing for the next track season. I don’t know if I can make it that long.
- I got the shaft in CoursEnroll for next semester. I guess that’s what I get for having my first two CoursEnroll experiences go so smoothly.
- Updating Twitter is a lot easier than doing this.
So I guess my goals for the next couple weeks is to make it out of here alive. Between final papers, finals, and trying to redeem my first track season with a good time in the very last meet, I haven’t gotten much sleep. I suppose sleep should go on that list of goals too. Because I failed to line up anything for me to do this summer, that leaves me asking what everyone else is doing this summer. I’ll be interested to know who’s around until next semester starts.
