Attempt to return, episode II

So here I am again with another attempt to use this thing. After brushing the dust off of this thing, I’ve decided that the best way for me to approach this is to write about nonsensical, anecdotal type things before anything of any value will be produced. So here goes.

Quite a few things have happened since my last day of high school way back when sometime in May. There was that whole senior project thing. It really gave a sense of what “grown-ups” go through every day with the whole having a job routine. And by job I don’t mean working-at-your-parents’-office-part-time-for-extra-cash-during-the-summer kind of job, I’m taking about a real job. My senior project didn’t even involve what most to consider a “normal job” (whatever that means nowadays). Now I don’t mean that in a bad way; as much as I enjoyed working for the Detroit Pistons and Palace Sports & Entertainment, my 10-2 routine made me realize just how much painful 9-5 must be.

In the midst of all of that, we had the school Honors Convocation. I don’t have much to say about that but I will comment on the inevitable disputing regarding award winners.

One of the highlights of the past month of so has been the way my high school athletic career closed out; A topic I think I’ll devote a post to on it’s own.

I guess what all this (and a lot more) has shown me is all there is beyond school. I haven’t been an official graduate for even a week yet, and already the homework and tests is just a distant memory, almost to the point of insignificance. While I do miss high school a great deal (no joke there), the reality of life beyond school has never been more eminent. That’s my random cliché life lesson for now. How it hasn’t been too boring. What has everyone else been up to?
